Free ice cream, hot dogs hamburgers and music, for the world! Well, at least for any of you that can make it to our Community Appreciation evening at Goose Rocks Beach, Wednesday evening, May 26, 6 PM to 8 PM!
We won’t get together for more than a couple of hours, but the folks at Goose Rocks Crossing, on Route 9, which include Brandys On the Rocks and the Goose Rocks Dairy, right past the clock farm, are donating space, labor and love to us all and we can’t disrupt their business for too awful long.
This is mostly a thank you to all of you that have supported Save-Our-Beaches, or just love Goose Rocks Beach and want to talk about how to keep our wonderful resource available for all of us to enjoy. It will not be a time to be angry–there are no irreconcilable differences a hot fudge sundae can’t cure for a little while!
One serious note, less light hearted. This invitation is to ALL of our community. To those of you that felt threatened enough to sue the Town, come meet us and talk to your neighbors about this. We may not change your minds but your ice cream and lemonade, hot dogs and hamburgers are on us!
Hope to see a bizillion people there–we’ll have Save-Our-Beaches tee shirts and pins, car decals, and signs about the upcoming June 12 vote to support the Town of Kennebunkport’s budget. I look forward to seeing a bunch of happy faces Wednesday night, rain date same time Thursday night.
